I'll blog about games and stuff.

I started playing a 10 vs all and started getting diplomacy offers, and I went for some. After a while they simply cancel the deal for no apparant reason. Then another faction offers something, and take it back after a while. Tis goes on throughout the game. I was allied with pretty much all of them, just at different times.

What's the point of trying to hold a relationship with the AI if they just keep breaking it for no reason? In my book, an alliance might even last throughout an entire game if we take care of eachother. But that's impossible here. It hardly feels like an alliance at all, because 10 minutes later I'm with someone else again.

The AI is unforgiving if you ever attack them, take a planet, or do anything bad in general to them, like leave an alliance, and want to get back in, they just don't let ya...

they're promiscuous

yea and u cant help fighting them because u all start at war with each other but they say that even when we start in an aliance. i just gave him 1k money (at the start of the game) then he said u might as well evacuate ...... now! this is just after i gave it to him which is stupid.

When they say "evacuate yada yada", or something stupid to that effect. Thats when i usually break my alliance with them, and go on a rampage though their worlds. Its funny because after i wipe out his fleets, and take over a couple of his worlds they want a cease fire (which i decline with extreme prejudice)

You can't always trust them! Its likely he was dead set on taking you out anyway - waiting for the ideal time to attack - and gladly taking your money in the meantime.

Some players can slowly grow intolerate of your mischeivious behaviour and eventually snap. With a steady flow of gifts you might have a friend until the end.    The fate of your diplomatic relations will never be the same.

Yeah, why even bother being friendly with them, you never know when they turn on you.

i know its just stupid it just takes all the fun out of an alliance i think if u help emm fight bad guys and other things then they should be nice 2 u and maby if u like save 1 of thier world they reward u not turn on u. i do like it when they say "the cavalry has arrived" but after about 5 seconds it changes to "IM GONNA KILL U ALL MWHAHAHAHAHA" and he has 1 ship lol the only thing keeping him alive is me but he still thinks he can take me on which is stupid.

Yeah, diplomacy is not one of the strong points of the game so far, but apparently the gameplay beta has left alot of gameplay elements out according to the powers that be, so meh.

What I would like as well is some sort of indication as to how much they like you. Or something, perhaps it's too soon to jump on the diplomacy options yet, it's still early on.
